This is pretty large breed of guardian dog of livestock, wchich origin roots came from the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. The body’s sizes of the Mioritic starts from about 65 cm and finish to 85 centimetres (26–33 in) tall at the withers and weighs 50–65 kilograms (110–140 lb). This massive dog is covered in thick fluffy hair. Their hair is sometimes orange.
The huge Mountain dog has discipline as one of their main characteristics. Its temper is for calm and loving well-mannered dog. Despite their sizes, the Mioritic dogs are gentle dogs with sence of care for the family and expecially little children. Because of this dog’s ability to bond strongly with his master, training should only be started once the Mioritic puppy is already accustomed to the owner/trainer.
The breed was officially recognized by the FCI on July, 6th, 2005 in Buenos Aires. The breed has a life expectancy of about 12-14 years.
