Jonangi
is a native dog breed of India, found all along the east coast of India, from Bengal to Kanyakumari. The east coast of India has a long history of trade relations with South-East Asia. Therefore, it is thought that the ancestors of the Jonangi arrived near Lake Kolleru from South-East Asia in ancient times. He is used for hunting small game, as a watchdog, and for herding ducks.

The origin of the Jonangi
can be traced back to early 19th century India. Enthusiasts and natives believe the breed to date back to ancient times, and be among the oldest of all breeds from the region, though this has never been proven scientifically or otherwise.

This is a spunky, primitive-type dog that is wary with strangers. It does not usually bark but makes a yodelling sound similar to that of a Basenji. The female comes into heat once per year. The Jonangi is reminiscent of a Bull Terrier but is not stocky or cobby. It is a typical primitive pariah-type dog, and shares many common characteristics with other dogs of this type all over the world. Perhaps the most similar breed to the Jonangi is the Basenji, not the western show dog, but the real African village dog.
The Jonangi has a strong instinct to hunt and herd, and will occasionally indulge in a good chase. When on the run, these dogs are incredibly quick, and may pose a threat to other animals, neighborhood pets, and small woodland creatures. The Jonangi must be leashed or properly secured at all times when outdoors.
For reasons unknown, the Jonangi loves to dig, and is quite good at doing so. It is not unusual for this breed to dig a hole under a fence within the matter of only a few minutes. These dogs must be properly secured or supervised while outdoors.
As previously mentioned, the Jonangi remains extremely rare outside of its native India and can prove quite difficult to obtain. Individuals seeking to purchase this breed often encounter such challenges as inability to locate a breeder, extremely high prices, and being placed on long waiting lists.

Its coat is extremely short and fine, in solid colours of fawn, biscuit, chocolate, black or white. Brindle is acceptable. It has a wrinkled forehead, thin curled tail, and tulip ears. The Jonangi stands 14 to 16 inches at the withers. This is a one-man or one-family dog.It is also a good dog to keep as it is very human communicative.
There are many benefits to owning a Jonangi, such as its no hassle, low maintenance coat. While the Jonangi is typically known as a healthy and hearty breed, they do suffer from a few health problems, including: hip dyplasia, likeliness to develop cancer, von Willebrand’s Disease – a blood clotting disorder, progressive retinal atrophy, cataracts, hearing issues – often leading to complete deafness, chronic ear infection, various dental problems, sensitivity to anesthesia, and bloat.

English Coonhound
sometimes referred to as the “Redtick Coonhound”, is a breed of dog. It is a type of coonhound that is typically bred in the southern United States.

are generally good natured and very sociable dogs. Skittishness or aggression is considered a defect according to UKC breed standards. They are strong willed, if not stubborn, and require more patience in training than other breeds. Young dogs are usually extremely active and playful and desirous of human attention in addition to requiring plenty of exercise.

English Coonhounds are incessant nesters and should be avoided by people who do not wish to have dogs on couches and beds. They make excellent family pets as they have been bred for hunting purposes to coexist amiably within a pack. English coonhound is not recommended for apartment life. They are very active indoors and do best with acreage.

The Hamiltonstovare is a breed of dog, bred as a hunting hound. The breed was developed in Sweden by the founder of the Swedish Kennel Club, Count Adolf Hamilton. Its ancestry includes several German hounds as well as English Foxhounds and Harriers. The breed is known by the white blaze on the head, down the neck, four white paws, and a white tail tip. He differs from an English Foxhound in that his frame is lighter.

The Finnish Lapphund
is a hardy, easy going, medium-size breed of Spitz type. Traditionally it has been used for herding reindeer. Although it is one of the most popular dog breeds in its native country, Finland, it is not very numerous outside of the Nordic countries. The breed standard is 46 to 52 centimetres (18 to 20 in) at the withers for a male, and a slightly smaller 41 to 47 centimetres (16 to 19 in) for a female. However, some variation is allowed, since the breed standard states that the type is more important than the size.

Although small in number worldwide, a noticeable number of Finnish Lapphunds have excelled in activities such as obedience trials, agility, herding trials, and pet therapy.

English Springer Spaniel dog
The English Springer Spaniel
is a breed of gun dog traditionally used for flushing and retrieving game. It is an affectionate, excitable breed with an average lifespan of twelve to fourteen years. Descended from the Norfolk or Shropshire Spaniels of the mid-19th century, the breed has diverged into separate show and working lines. The breed suffers from average health complaints.

The English Foxhound is about 21-25 inches tall to the withers, and weighs anywhere between 65-75 pounds, although some English Foxhounds bred for the show ring can be considerably bigger, with some males weighing over 100 pounds. The skull is wide, the muzzle is long, and eyes carry a sweet expression. The legs are muscular, straight-boned, and the paws are rounded, almost cat-like.

The English Foxhound was originally a pack hound, therefore, it gets along well with other dogs and enjoys human companionship.
